With the Pacers leading by two points with just over 10 seconds remaining, Tatum pulled up from deep and drained a three-pointer to tie the game. The Pacers had a chance to win it in regulation, but Haliburton's potential game-winning shot was blocked by Tatum.
In overtime, the Celtics took control of the game and never looked back. Tatum led the way with 34 points, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points and Marcus Smart chipped in with 17 points.
The Pacers were led by Haliburton's 26 points. Myles Turner added 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Buddy Hield scored 20 points.
The Celtics will host the Pacers in Game 2 on Friday night. The Pacers will be looking to even the series, while the Celtics will be looking to take a 2-0 lead.
