India has witnessed a concerning spike in COVID-19 cases, sparking concerns among health officials and the public alike. According to data reported on January 14 by WEB India, the country registered a surge of 395 new cases, bringing the active caseload to a staggering 3075.
The grim statistics further reveal that the average number of daily cases reported in India over the past week has reached 336, marking a sharp increase. Even more alarmingly, these figures represent a 145 percent increase from the average reported just two weeks prior.
The latest data released by the WHO COVID-19 dashboard indicates that India has reported a total of 10725 new cases, along with 36 additional deaths and 13084 fresh recoveries in the past 24 hours.
